Social Inclusion
At Friends of the Fal, we are dedicated to creating a community space for all to enjoy and to give nature and wildlife a helping hand. This is by no means an easy feat, but through a 'can do' approach alongside community engagement, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support by becoming a volunteer and joining our Green Gym.All Green Gym volunteers are equal and there is no entry criteria.See our 'About' page to learn more about Friends of the Fal, how you can get involved and what Green Gym can offer you.

We believe the best way for this project to grow, blossom and be successful is for the community to actively get involved.
This is an easy and efficient way of contributing and being part of the vital work we do to enhance the potential for an abundance of wildlife down by the Fal.
The Foxgloves in the pictures were sown by our dearest friend and volunteer (pictured in our Green Gym poster above) who is sadly no longer with us, but her memory and legacy to the woodland will forever live on.
The photo of Foxgloves illustrates the beauty which comes from a simple act of sowing wildflower seeds and the lifeline it gives to wildlife

Here at Friends of the Fal, we always appreciate the involvement of people in our community who want to make a difference and contribute towards sowing the seeds of change for a conservation project we can all be proud of.
By working together, we are enabling our local environment to thrive, and helping towards making our aims and objectives come to fruition in our task to create a better space for community and wildlife.
Come and join us, there's no wi-fi in the woods but we can promise you a better connection!
Come and connect with like-minded folk who love being immersed in and working with nature.
Best of all, it's free!

Welcoming, and accessible outdoor environments can improve our physical, mental and social health by allowing people to be physically active outdoors, and helping people to connect with and get closer to nature.

''Wellbeing can be understood as how people feel and how they function, both on a personal and a social level, and how they evaluate their lives as a whole. It is not merely the absence of disease''
